Boys!

To those of you who have boys, I am sure you can relate to the story I am about to share with you. Let me preface it by saying to those who do not relate have boys....they love all of their bodily functions and love to try new things and sometimes they just roll with the punches. With that being said...I will now begin the story.

It was a bright and sunny day...perfect weather for playing outside. The kids were loud and crazy and sending them outside would ensure quiet time for mommy and baby inside. So being the awesome, unselfish mom I am, I let them run wild and free in the backyard. (reminding them to watch out for dog poop. We hadn't done the poop scooping for the week yet and there were quite a few land mines scattered about.) A few minutes go by and the boys come running in the house to grab some toys and head back outside. Then in again and out again, etc. This was getting really old and I hated hearing the door constantly being slammed as they exited to the backyard. I finally told them they needed to stay in or stay out. No more toys were allowed outside. They give me their sad faces, then mad faces and replied, "FINE!" As they stomped back outside. All was well. I was getting some chores done and the baby had finally fallen asleep. Then the backdoor opens wide...Aidan comes running in....sees me, stops, stares at me, puts his hands up as if to say....STOP... before you say anything to me, I have an announcement to make! Aidan then indeed makes an announcement, "Mommy - I just coming inside for Ethan....he needs me to get toilet paper for his butt! Okay! not toys, okay...now... I got it, I am going outside now. okay. Bye mommy. As I stand there listening to this and watching my 3 year old run in and out of the house with toilet paper in hand, I realize he said he needed the toilet paper for his butt.....not his nose, his BUTT!? What!?! I run out side and sure enough...there is Ethan, pants around his ankles, squatting in the back yard. "what the heck Ethan....what are you doing?" I ask. His response..."I wanted to teach Aidan how to poop in the woods. Its awesome." As he smiles, laughs, wipes his butt and pulls his pants up. Then he looks at me like...what did I do?
So although he did avoid the dogs' messes he decided to add to the decor of the backyard himself.
He is now on poop scooping duty.

Absolutely hilarious. I am so glad I had mostly girls! Although there was the time that Laura and a group of girls were being dropped off by a friend's parent to our house and there was 3 year old David urinating on the driveway!
